Soundscape Brainstorm

In my sound scape I wanted to center the theme around an iconic monologue from a Movie. I decided to choose the poem from 10 things I hate about you in which she tells the boy she loves that she's upset that she still loves him so much after the break up. This scene always gets me and I want to make the surrounding sounds support and heighten the emotion behind the words.

I want to create a lot of build up for the audience before to create tension and prepare them for the emotional words. After the monologue, that will be accompanied by other sounds, I want to let the audience sit with the feelings and really reduce the noise similar to the sound decision in the movie as after the monologue the room was silent. I'm still unsure what sounds exactly I'm going to use but I am definitely going to use a lot of layering and repetition. Regardless I'm excited for this soundscape and how it will turn out.
